Kroger, Highlights From The Past 4.5 Years

KROGER, Mobile Apps & Beyond

Kroger’s app has come a long way during my tenure as its UX designer. From Coupons and Weekly Ads to our new Shopping Cart, it has been an honor to represent such a wonderful brand.

KROGER, Digital Coupons

Continued feedback from users made something apparent: we needed to redesign our coupons feature. Clearing call-to-actions and more information were just a starting point.

KROGER GO, Hackathon Project

Imagine a mobile app that could compare prices of products, on-self, in real time, anywhere, via your smart phone’s live camera feed. Thanks to augmented reality, we have the technology!

KROGER, Shopping List

Continued feedback from users made something apparent: we needed to redesign our coupons feature. Clearing call-to-actions and more information were just a starting point.

KROGER NLP, Talk To Me.

Responding to today’s problems and answering tomorrow’s questions. But, like, for real. Kroger Digital has quarterly hackathons, which always prove fun and competitive. This time, we decided to experiment with natural language processing.

Past Projects

USPC, Bicycle’s “How To Play” App

The United States Playing Card Company wanted a universal card rules app for mobile platforms. Using Adobe’s PhoneGap, I was able to code such an application once, and port it across both Android and iOS devices with very little alteration in the process.

UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON, Now Mobile!

Back in 2012, The University of Dayton wanted that ever popular “app” for their students. A mobile, HTML 5 based website provided all the services to be offered, while also being cross-platform.

USPC, Club 808

The United States Playing Card Company launched an exclusive membership community titled “Club 808”. Designing their website was fun, but getting to interview famous card artist and magicians, including David Blaine & Neil Patrick Harris, was an added bonus.

Cincinnati Reds, Dugout Defender

Dugout Defender started as a sketch, when we decided to continue with sport centric game development. I would go on to illustrate, design, code and lend voice acting to the final project, while directing animators for sprite art.
